Too many Bhuddas?!?!

We saw a lot of buddhas in Thailand. Everytime we took a taxi the drivers wanted to take us to see a Buddha. The one with the four of us in front--that was a “Lucky Buddha,” the one on the hilltop--”The largest Buddha” and then this tall one was the “40 metre Buddha.” Someone asked Cody what he did in Thailand and they suggested that maybe he swam or played in the sand--he answered them with, “We saw too many Buddhas!

Dave and Edna, Kyla and Cody
Originally from a very small town in British Columbia, we are now living in Almaty, Kazakhstan, a city of 1.5 million. Dave is an English teacher, Edna is the school's Financial Officer, Kyla is in Grade 3, and Cody is in Grade 1. This is our second year here. We hope you enjoy reading our blog--it acts as our diary of life in the former USSR, the thrills, chills, and spills. Please leave a message; we'll get right back to you.
